This will provide a much more reliable storage location than the commonly used local hard drive of a desktop or laptop computer. This service is intended to allow individual users to store their critical data on a server operated by SAS Computing so that it can be stored reliably and backed up to tape on a nightly basis. SAS Computing supports a service to provide automated backup of critical data for all SAS faculty and to eligible SAS staff.
